Fronted by four singers, the 18-piece orchestra perform the best-loved Finnish Christmas play Star Boys' Singing Procession. Soini and Partanen’s version stretches Star Boys from its original 15-minute duration to a 50-minute concert, but the story, the events and the lyrics remain untouched. The range of atmospheres varies from upbeat swing to brooding solemnity and everything in between, and preludes, interludes and improvised solos add drama and coherence to the new version.

Joulun kynnyksellä Sointi Jazz Orchestra tekee paluun Espooseen. Luvassa on 18-henkisen ja neljän valovoimaisen laulusolistin esittämä ihastuttanut ja ylistetty uudelleensovitus perinteisestä Tiernapojat-kuvaelmasta, missä tuttuja tyyliteltyjä melodioita värittävät sävelletyt orkestraaliset välisoitot sekä huumaavat improvisaatiot. Tiernapoikien uudisversio venyttää kuvaelman 15-minuuttisesta 50-minuuttisen konsertin mittaan, mutta tarina, tapahtumat ja laulujen sanat ovat edelleen samat. Kokonaisuus sisältää niin leikillistä svengiä kuin pohdiskelevan hartaita tunnelmia.
Syksystä 2013 lähtien Sointi Jazz Orchestra on toteuttanut uusia ja innostavia konserttikokonaisuuksia, joissa musiikki on yhtyeelle räätälöityä ja toteutus ensiluokkaisen tyylikäs. Luvassa on reipas ja monipuolinen konserttikattaus, jossa viimeistään joulumieli kohoaa.
